If you are a beginner and want to use Arch, you must be willing to invest time into learning a new system, and accept that Arch is designed as a 'do-it-yourself' distribution; it is the user who assembles the system.
Before asking for help, do your own independent research by Googling, searching the forum and the superb documentation provided by the Arch Wiki. There is a reason these resources were made available to you in the first place. Many thousands of volunteered hours have been spent compiling this excellent information.

This simple message is replied to a lot of new Linux/Arch users who ask about the functionality of a program when it is clearly defined in the program's manual.
It is often used when a user fails to make any attempt to find a solution to the problem themselves. If someone tells you this, they are not trying to offend you; they are just frustrated with your lack of effort.
The best thing to do if you are told to do this is to read the manual page.
If you do not find the answer to your question in the program manual, there are more ways to find the answer. You can:
- To read the program manual page for a particular program named as PROGRAM-NAME, type this at the command line: man PROGRAM-NAME.
- search the wiki
- search the forum
- search the mailing lists
- search the web
Current Status for your lulz nach neuer Installation:
-Basissystem installiert, Backup gemacht
-Xorg, Xorginit, SDDM, nvidia, nvidia-lts, nvidia uitils, vesa, plasma-desktop, konsole installiert into reboot
-FICK DICH NVIDIA aka "Error: No screen found"
Soooo. Full enrage over 9k. Neue Graka MUSS jetzt her. Empfehlungen?
#!/bin/sh
if ! [ -f "/mnt/backup/data/.mounted" ]
then
cryptsetup luksOpen /dev/sdd1 backup
mount /dev/mapper/backup /mnt/backup/
fi
if [ -f "/mnt/backup/data/.mounted" ]
then
rsync --exclude *data/archive/* --del -av --no-links /mnt/data/ /mnt/backup/
else
echo "Backup volume not mounted successfully"

NFS ist nervig.[…] easy peasy but highly unreliable und unsecure via Samba […] NFS […] Per fstab habt ihr ja gesagt ist garnicht sooo cool, also autofs. […] bis auf ein Share / Ordner. Das will garnicht.
