Overall Review -
Easily the biggest band to ever come out of Germany, Rammstein released their sixth studio album entitled Liebe Ist Fur Alle Da on October 16, 2009 in Europe and October 20, 2009 in America. 3 versions exist of the CD. The first is a standard edition which has 1 disc of 11 songs, the second being a 2 disc deluxe edition which features the 11 songs on 1 disc and 5 bonus songs on the second disc. The third and final version features a box with the 2 disc deluxe version and also in the box there’s handcuffs and 6 dildos said to be exact replicas of the 6 band members of Rammstein’s penises. The standard version features as stated earlier 11 songs coming to a total of around 46 minutes. The deluxe edition features a bonus disc also as stated before that has 5 songs totaling around 22 minutes, about 1 hour and 10 minutes if you include the main disc with the bonus disc. The first and only single so far was Pussy which also had the song Rammlied on it. Pussy was the first single Rammstein released that debuted as #1 in the Germany charts. This is because of one of two reasons, or both. The first being that fans were eager to hear more Rammstein after they hadn’t released anything in 4 years and they said this was their best work. The second reason being that, well, sex sells. If I had to guess I’d pick #1.
The album itself is considered by many as the best Rammstein album of all time, some say absolutely not, but lets break it down (no, not dance, we’ll wait until you listen to Pussy again for that). As far as variety goes, Liebe Ist Fur Alle Da beats all the other Rammstein albums. With Mutter most of the songs were hard style and with Reise, Reise and Rosenrot they both had pretty much the same sounds with a little bit of difference. Liebe Ist Fur Alle Da has something for everyone, with it you have hard, soft, pop, hip-hop, ballads, everything. As far as improvements from past albums, this one gets the gold medal. Till’s lyrics vary in high and low, soft and screaming, more unique guitar riffs, faster and smoother drum parts, outstanding keyboard, and of course we can’t leave out Ollie, better base guitar parts.
