Dear Sirs and Madams,
first off: we’re sorry about the inconvenience and the postponement of the planned start of Season 53. We now feel ready to move forward and give you a date when the next season starts.
BWCL - Google Drive System (Beta 2.0)
Even though Face supplied us with some resources, we sadly had to re-work on some features of Google Drive. We’re not 100% certain it will work bug-free, but well enough to host a season. Our long term goal is to find a different solution for Drive altogether, so why wait?
Note: Please bear with us, it’s quite possible you will encounter a few hiccups along the way in terms of technical flows. Whenever something goes wrong via reporting, keep calm and tell us. We’re going to fix everything bit by bit.
What’s new?
In contrast to the old system, Leaders and Co-Leaders can manage their rosters on their own, without the help of admins. You don’t really need to report it via Discord, just add and remove players with a few clicks. The reporting system also slightly changed. A tutorial of what needs to be done will be distributed to the Leaders and Co-Leaders shortly.
The ordinary player can see an overview of the current league:

Note: The Map Pack isn’t quite ready yet, we might change one or two maps in the upcoming days. Same goes for the schedule.

BWCL - Start: 2nd May 2021, 19:00 CET / Rule Updates
The headline says it all: We’re going to start in May - two weeks from now.
Please note, that we changed the general BWCL rules.

Some of the wording and the general structure looks a bit different, but all in all it’s what you already knew. Even though there were some concerns about the “Rule of Admission”, we decided to keep it for various reasons. This rule allows the administration to work properly and react to bigger incidents that have an impact on the Brood War community as a whole.
However, we do understand the critique and the demand of more transparency. As a consequence, we did add a “complaint”-system. Whenever a player, clan or other party feels unfairly or incorrectly treated, a complaint can be issued against the penalty / admin decision. An admin not involved in the original incident reviews the complaint and can revert the original decision. Regardless of who gave the order, even the Head Admin can be vetoed by other staff members.

Thankfully we have plenty of influx in terms of new admins. Interestingly enough is the fact that team ash sent multiple (three) people to help out with the everyday work.
In the upcoming announcements and coverage articles, we’re planning to provide you with some bio / short interviews of the people.
So far, we’re just overwhelmed by the positive feedback we received. Thanks again!
