PC->Media Server ->PS3 Streaming

Ich hab da ein kleines Problem und hoffe, dass hier vielleicht jemand ne Lösung weiß.

Also folgendes:
Hab nach diesem Guide nen Media Server erstellt, der auch von meiner PS3 gefunden wird.
Ich kann sogar auf Filme, die auf meiner Platte sind, zugreifen, allerdings kommt jedesmal die Fehlermeldung, dass das Format nicht unterstützt wird. (Was ja recht sinnlos ist da es ja eigentlich gestreamt wird)
Wenn ich versuche in der TVersity Library was zu spielen (also direkt vom PC aus) kommt "Error loading this video, please make sure TVersity is running, the video exists an can be converted to flash video. Are you missing a directshow filter?"

Also dass das Video existiert und dass TVersity läuft kann ich bestätigen, aber ob ich den directshowfilter habe.....hmm kein plan hab den neuesten windoof media player, fddshow in der 802er version und sonst keinen Plan

Das PS3 Forum hab ich durchgesucht, aber da das alles amis sind, kann ich mir vorstellen dass die da dank NTSC maybe die probs nicht haben?!?

Hab gerade draufgeklickt und es hat geklapt...naja ich kopiers hier nochmal rein (Nur bis zum Strich erstmal interessant):

I know theres a tute for Nero Mediahome for this but alot of people including myself couldnt get it to play avi`s so I thought id share how I managed to get avi`s to stream flawlessly to my PS3 with Tversity Server.

What you need

1. Tversity http://download.tversity.com/TVersitySetup_0_9_10_8.exe

2. FFdshow version 802 http://www.afterdawn.com/software/vi..._802__20070120 or
FFdshow version 1355 http://www.afterdawn.com/software/vi...355__20070715_

3. Haali Media Splitter for HD/mkv files http://haali.cs.msu.ru/mkv/MatroskaSplitter.exe

Instructions

1. Install Tversity 0.9.10.8

2. Install FFDshow revision 802 or revision 1355 ( uninstall any old versions before installing this )

3. Once you have done all the above, goto your windows firewall and in exceptions allow Mediaserver.exe ( you can find it at C:\Program Files\TVersity\Media Server\MediaServer.exe ) You may need to allow Tversity also, if it allready hasnt been added automatically.

Ok now that everythings installed and the firewall is sorted its time to try some streaming.

1. Load up Tversity
2. Goto Start/All Programs/ Tversity Media Server/ Tversity Tools/ Start Tversity Media Server. ( This may be done automatically but I always do it manually to make sure the server side bit is running )
3. Add your folders/Files via the Sharing Tab and The Green + Icon.
4. On the Settings Tab Choose the Transcoder option on the left and setup your connection speed ( wired or wireless ) and screen resolution ( Recommended screen resolution is 1280 x 720 )
5. Scroll to bottom of the page and Save your config you have setup.
6. Do the Search for servers on your PS3 and it should now find Tversity server and from there you all know how to play your videos etc.

Hope this helps anyone who`s havving problems with nero not playing avi`s.

If you get pass the hard part and have the video transcoding working. With enough CPU power, we can get much better picture quality instead of the default MPEG1 transcoding.

Bring up TVersity and goto the Transcoder tab. Set Optimization for Quality, Connection Speed: Wired or Wireless, Connection Quality: Excellent, Compression: Minimum. Set Max Video resolution to 1280x720 or upto 1920x1080 depends on your video clips native max resolution. And check the Decoding Speed option.

Stop the TVersity sharing. Goto the TVersity program file folder Media Server and find the profile.xml Open it and search for mpeg16 (should be under PS3 section). Change mpeg16 to mpeg2 to use MPEG2 transcoding instead of MPEG1. After modify save the change.

Optional (some say this will further improve the video quality): find the config.xml under TVersity program file folder Media Server. Open it and find the videoCompressionRatio="12", change 12 to a lower value (less compression) such as 5. You may also try to slightly increase the transcoding bitrate by adjust the bitrate="8000000" (default 8Mbps) value. After modify save the change.

Bring up TVersity and start the sharing. Clean all cached file in the General tab Temporary Media Files.

nope sorry, hab zwar was ähnliches mit meiner xbox360 laufen, aber ist vom aufbau nicht wirklich vergleichbar.

ich kenn keine größeren ps3 foren, aber zumindest bei xbox scene gibts sehr viele kompetente leute und auch ein extra ps3 foren system:

sehr gut is auch die ps3 sektion von www.evo-x.de , ich glaub sogar noch besser besucht als bei xbox scene. Schreib da deinen post nochmal, die leute können dir bestimmt helfen.
